The publication date is approaching, to keep you waiting and give you a taste of my science fiction novel, here is a short extract:
"From 2031 to 2033, the pandemic had claimed the lives of more than a billion people. Two other episodes followed, from 2035 to 2036 and then from 2039 to 2040. In twenty years, this virus and its multiple variants had caused almost four billion deaths. The elderly were the most affected at the beginning, but over time the variants had attacked the youngest, killing hundreds of millions of young children, decimating entire populations of certain African and Asian countries. Although European and North American countries were better prepared, the fact remained that these age groups had also been affected. To this must also be added the 3 million deaths caused by the War in Eastern Europe.

As early as 2040, it had been imperative to implement a birth rate policy. The 0-5 age group had almost disappeared due to the latest pandemics. All modern economic systems were in danger, while they had already been in a critical situation for two decades. If nothing had been done at that time, the living conditions of the populations would have deteriorated, generating growing discontent year after year... This would have been the chaos that was looming for the end of the century."
